South Florida’s Triathlon Trilogy #2 Not Deterred by Weather
It was a not so pleasant start to the South Florida’s Triathlon Trilogy Series’ 2nd race on Sunday July 22nd. Despite the dreary weather even more athletes showed up than competed in the series’ first race in June. Our team was happy to be on hand at Crandon Park on Key Biscayne to help get them fired up with the healthy energy of Celsius. The 13th annual Triathlon Trilogy South Florida’s oldest triathlon series was not to be deterred by this weather.
The Trilogy Series gives participants the option of showing off their strength in fitness by completing the sprint (half distance) or international (full) distance. For those competing in the international division (longer distances to swim/bike/run) they started the event with a half mile swim in Biscayne Bay. Then they biked along the Rickenbacker Causeway for 20 miles and as if they were not tired enough they then had to complete the race with a 6.2 mile run along the beach boardwalk.
Triathlon training takes months and even years to master. In order to complete in a triathlon athletes must engage in a healthy lifestyle for most of the year for them to remain at the top of their game. The physical fitness required in a triathlon event is obvious. But the mental strength it takes to complete such a fitness challenge is undeniable. For most of these athletes living a healthy lifestyle includes proper nutrition rest and specialized training for several hours each day.
For Celsius Ambassadors Fabiola and Sylena it was awesome to see so many families that participate in living a healthy lifestyle together. Several Celsius fans brought their supporters by the Celsius booth to introduce them to our products hoping to encourage their friends and family to live a healthier lifestyle and commit to fitness as well. The ambassadors also had the opportunity to share some of benefits of drinking Celsius and the proof in our clinical studies with participants and event attendees unfamiliar with Celsius. Over the course of the day hundreds of ice cold Celsius samples were distributed to athletes and onlookers eager to find an effective source of healthy energy. By the end of the day our newest flavor Outrageous Orange was getting great reviews. This new flavor is available at Costco.
