SUCCESS

Meet Chantel

Chantel’s story is amazing and she is a powerhouse of inspiration. She has appeared on Oprah, the cover of People magazine, and has published four books on nutrition and fitness.  She is a certified personal trainer with a real understanding of the physical and mental challenges on the road to fitness. She stopped by our office to tell us how much she loves Celsius and how she drinks Celsius to maintain her fitness and improve her workout performance. We had heard about Chantel long before we met, about how as a south Florida celebrity, she was spreading the word about Celsius throughout the gyms she trains in.  We were thrilled we finally had the chance to meet her and were impressed with her passion towards helping people.

She just launched her summer sweat camp, a virtual personal training and fitness program with accountability for results.  We were so inspired that we kicked in some Celsius to get her program started. Here is what she told her clients.  “I haven’t mentioned Celsius before now because I am so careful about recommending any product that makes great claims in the arena of health and fitness. However, I can’t hold it in another minute! I am a huge fan of a drink called CELSIUS (when I say big fan, I nearly stalked the company). My favorite is the powder. I throw it in my console of my truck and twice a day, I add it to a cold bottle of water and I’m ready to run 10 miles! In the meantime, in a nutshell, why I love it: It provides natural energy without any artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives! Very hard to find these days. Plus it doesn’t give you the highs and lows of most energy drinks. This is why it’s called “Your ultimate fitness partner.”

We find her inspirational and thought you might too. Here are some excerpts from her web site

My Story:

“Having spent many years of my life struggling with my weight, and eventually hitting over 350 pounds, I know what it is to feel desperate and miserable.10 years later, and 200 pounds lost, I can tell you one thing for certain-Success is the sweetest thing I’ve ever tasted.

And from the day that I made the decision to change, despite lots of circumstances out of my control, family illnesses, personal injuries, family vacations, food-filled holidays, even having a fourth child, and lots more challenges along the way, I have stayed the course. I can honestly say that I no longer live in fear of being fat again. I have accepted the love I longed for, and it conquers any doubt or discouragement I may encounter along this road less traveled. All the power I need to be fit and healthy lives within me.

Today, my life’s passion is to help others’ have hope. Not in simply reaching their goal weight, or becoming more fit, but hope in their future. In fact, it’s the reason why I keep writing books and offering solid web-support and advice. I feel blessed that my pain has now produced other changed lives. When you think about it, nothing could be better than knowing your darkest moments could one day provide a powerful light!"

Her thoughts on Fitness:

It’s funny how often I get asked the following question: Chantel, is exercise really necessary?  My response is not usually what the person wants to hear, but it’s the only one I have.

“Yes. If you want to maintain weight loss.”

Lots of folks have told me stories of losing weight with very calorie restricted diets, or “no-carb”, and so on…

However the truth is our bodies have been rigged for regular movement. Our arms and legs are designed to shift back and forth to propel us in a forward motion. To do this, we need calories for energy.

Most people want to take in the amount of calories as if they are moving non-stop, yet they don’t want to do much moving. Therefore, they end up with a math problem. Too many calories taken in, too often without burning them off. These extra calories end up being stored in lots of familiar places…hips, thighs, arms, “behinds”, you get the idea.

And all this is coming from the girl that couldn’t finish walking a 20-minutemile back in High School, to now having ran 5 full marathons. That’s 26.2 miles!

What I’m trying to say is fitness is for everyone!

As a certified personal trainer, and as a Spin instructor I am constantly coming up with new, fun work-outs to share.

Check out Chantel’s site for the latest information and to look for her new book coming out in the fall. “Walk Strong, Look Up”.

We’ll be following her on facebook!
